Gate 1 of 8
The market has to be clearly travelling one way on the big picture, up or down.
Rules out: Flat, choppy days with no direction. That is most days.
Gate 2 of 8
Direction is settled on the slow chart first, and every trade has to agree with it.
Rules out: Betting against the bigger move because a small one looked tempting.
Gate 3 of 8
Buy only in the cheap half of the recent range. Sell only in the expensive half.
Rules out: Buying after the move already happened, which is exactly when it feels safest.

There has to be a specific price the market has reacted to before and has not used up yet.
Rules out: Entering at a random price because the candle looked good.
Gate 5 of 8
Other traders have to be trapped between the price now and your level, and there has to be somewhere obvious for price to run afterwards.
Rules out: Trades with nothing pushing them and nowhere to go.

Price has to reach the level. Not nearly reach it. Reach it.
Rules out: Getting in early because you are certain it will come.

Zoom in. The level has to prove itself first: a fake move that traps people, a sharp reversal, then a clear change of direction.
Rules out: Trusting a price level that has shown you nothing yet.

What you stand to make must be at least twice what you are risking.
Rules out: Risking two to make one, which loses money even when you are right more often than not.
Any one gate fails and it is no trade. That sentence does the work an indicator never will.
